Studies for Restitution

Whom the heaven must receive
until the times of restitution of all things,
which God hath spoken by the mouth of
all his holy prophets since the world began.
Acts 3:21

Study to show thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

Mt 28:18 - Before giving the disciples the great commission Jesus reassures His disciples "All power is given unto me."

Acts 1:8 - This power is the Holy Ghost.

Mt 28:19 - "Go ye therefore" ( not like those who doubted in vs 17)

"Teach all nations" (margin) - make disciples or Christians of all nations.

Q - What do we teach?

A -Mk 16:15 - "The gospel."

Q - Which gospel?

A - Rev 14:6 - "The everlasting gospel."

Gal 1:8 - There is only one true gospel.

So the great commission is to bring the everlasting gospel to every nation.

Q - Who is the only church that can fulfil this commission?

A - Rev 14:6-12 - There is only one church that can teach the everlasting gospel.

Righteousness by faith, Sabbath, sanctuary judgment message, spirit of prophecy, health message & true worship etc.

Mt 28:20 - To observe all things I have commanded you.

Q - Has God commanded us to keep holy the Sabbath day?

A - Ex 20:8-11 - Another reason why only the remnant church can give this message.

Eph 1:13 - When we hear and believe the gospel we receive the Holy Spirit of promise.

Mt 28:20 - That we may receive the power to observe all things.

Compare Rom 1:16 - The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.

Q - Salvation from what?

A - Sin, Mt 1:21 - Thou shalt call His name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins.

Back to Rom 1:16 - Why is Paul not ashamed of the gospel?

Q - Whose gospel is it?

A - Gospel of Christ.

Gal 1:12 - Paul received this gospel direct from Christ.

Rom 1:16 - This gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone that believeth.

Notice to receive this power, (especially as a church body, to receive the latter rain power of the Holy Spirit)

We have to believe this gospel.

Believe what exactly?

If we could ask Paul, who received the gospel straight from Jesus. What would be the most important and crucial part of the gospel? What would be the one thing he would want to make known above all others? What would this be?

1 Cor 2:1,2 - Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Why?

Because if you take this out of the gospel, you have nothing left, this is everything.

Q - But who is Christ? Today there seems to be many answers.

Is He God the Son?

Is He one of three God persons who make up one God and took the role of a Son?

Is He a Son in the mind of God? (that is in the mind of the other two)

Is He a Son because the three held a committee and one selected the role of a Father and said to another from here on you will be my son?

Paul told us the pillar of the gospel was Christ and him crucified.

Let's ask Paul, who Christ is?

Acts: 9:17-20 what was the first thing (straightway) the converted Saul did? He preached Christ is the Son of God.

So 1Cor 2:1,2 could read Christ the Son of God and him crucified.

Remember Rom 1:16 to receive the power of the Holy Spirit, we first have to believe the gospel and its central truth, on which all else stands. That is Christ the Son of God is the crucified and risen saviour.

This is important you cannot just confess with your mouth, that Jesus is the Son of God, you have to believe it with all thine heart also.

Q - How is a church ever going to receive the latter rain power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised while holding to a trinity doctrine?

A - It never will.

Matt 16:16 Jesus taught he would build his church on this rock foundation. On the unmovable truth [no matter what men say] that he is the Son of God and it was on this affirmation of faith that Jesus gave his church the authority to preach the gospel in Mat 16:19.

The keys of the Kingdom, that would open and shut heaven.

{See DA 414}

"The mystery of the trinity is the central doctrine of Catholic faith. Upon it are based all other teachings of the church."

Handbook for Today's Catholic, p. 16

The counterfeit Antichrist system professes the trinity as their pillar of faith upon which all their doctrines stand. Thus removing Christ and placing the authority of finite man before His word. They even admit that for this, there is no scriptural authority.

Please notice the Jews were God's church to reveal the gospel to the world. They had been entrusted with all God's truth [the sacred oracles] they had the Spirit of prophecy, law of God, sanctuary etc. Jn 4:22. But they rejected Jesus as the Son of God. They believed the Messiah would be the Son of God. Jn 1:49 Jn 6:69 Jn 11:27 Matt 26:63 etc. But they rejected him (Jesus) to be the one.

Today, God's church is entrusted with the same truths, the law of God, the sanctuary, the Spirit of prophecy etc. And is commissioned to preach the everlasting gospel Rev 14:6.

They accept Jesus, but reject that he is truly the Son of God.

Question: Can you see what the devil is doing? Remember the power comes from believing Jesus is the Son of God. This is the church that cannot be prevailed against.

[Not the blasphemous role-playing interpretations]

The Jews misinterpreted the Scriptures that clearly taught that Jesus was who he claimed to be, the Son of God (remember the walk to Emmaus Jesus proved from the Scriptures)

Today God's remnant church is again misinterpreting the Scriptures that clearly teach that Jesus is truly the Son of God.

Come back to Matt 28:20 shortly after giving the great commission Jesus ascended to heaven {AA 30-31} assuring his church that through the promised power of the Holy Spirit He would be with them even to the end of the age.

Now come to Acts 2:1 and 2:41-47. God calls these people His church this is approximately three years before the stoning of Stephen the end of the 70 weeks.

As God's people were sinking further into apostasy and unbelief. God was taking the reins into His own hands building His church simple people who loved the truth.

Is this beginning to happen once more?

Come to Acts 8:26-37 what do you think was the principle truth Phillip taught the eunuch?

Look at the question in Vs 37. (By the way this verse does not appear in any modern translation) If thou believest with all thine heart. The eunuch's answer tells you what Phillip had been teaching him. He doesn't say I believe in Jesus Christ, no! He says, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Friends the disciples were Jews, they were part of the Jewish church they didn't want to come out and they weren't commanded to come out. In fact they were commanded to go to Jerusalem first. It was this beautiful truth of the gospel, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that forced them out and brought persecution. For they could not but speak of the things they had seen and heard. Acts 4:20

May we also obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29

Will history repeat itself? Eccl 1:9, 3:15
